Maria Taylor
Maria is an accomplished leader in education with over 17 years of senior leadership experience, specialising in supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Maria spearheaded a transformative restraint reduction programme. This initiative was rooted in child-centred, restorative practices, emphasising the importance of consistent, calm adult behaviours and the understanding that all behaviours are a form of communication.
Since January 2020, Maria has served as the International Director of Training at the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), where she continues her advocacy for restraint reduction and best practices in managing distressed behaviour.
