Michael Hamilton OBE served in the Army as a commando bomb disposal expert in Iraq and Afghanistan. He set up Commando Joe’s in 2009 to improve education and life outcomes for the most disadvantaged children. He is passionate about building character raising attainment, behaviour and attendance in schools, inspiring young people to achieve their best. ‘No Child Left Behind’ is his founding ethos. He was awarded the OBE (nominated by the DfE) for services to Young People in the New Year’s Honours 2019. Commando Joe’s work with over 1,000 school across the UK and Mike has supported over 3,000 Head Teachers and leaders around building a positive culture, behaviour and character education.
